I really, really wish I could help kids like this. How can we complain about not having the latest and greatest electronics, or that we don’t like what’s for dinner, when there are people living like this.Sidenote: Interestingly enough, the photographer committed suicide shortly after this photo received the Pulitzer Prize. Whether it was due to the impact this scenario had on him, or to the harsh criticism this photo received, is uncertain.

Makes me so sad !

this photo was taken by a photographer on a trip to africa with a group of photographers. they had been instructed to not touch anyone, incase of disease. this man came across this young child, dying and crawling to a place serving free food. as you can see a vulture was stalking the child, just waiting for him to die. the photographer took this haunting photo and walked away, following instructions not to touch anyone. all he had to do was pick him up and carry him to safety, and food. but because he chose not to, this child probably died soon after the photo was taken.
